The Meaning of Spring

Well, technically, spring was here around late March. But until recently, cow breeding didn't really pop out.. I was on the bus to Shrewsbury today and I saw .. black and white spotted cows!

Yay, finally the boring fluffy o' sheep that goes meehhhhhh and looks (no, it stares actually) at you when you walk by as if you were something .. out of the ordinary. I remember back in February, when I had to walk 1 mile to my friends' house.. the sheep(s) was just staring at me! I ran in front, they stared, I stopped and squatted, and then stood up again, and they were still staring, so I shouted,

"Oi! What you looking at?!" "Want to fight is it?!"

"Mehhhhhhhhh"

Damn that was funny, now imagine seeing a guy having a conversation with sheeps.
"Mehhh..."

"Mehhhhh" (Echoes in the foreground)

"Meeeeeehhhhh"

"Meehhhh"

"You know what, I don't understand what you guys are talking, nice day isn't it?"

"Mehhhhh"

"So you like eating grass huh, nice huh?"

"Mehhhhh"

Hahaha, I remember there was once, my friend was walking on that same road, then suddenly he saw a herd of sheep right in the middle of the road..Hahahaha.. Imagine trying to get past those smelly sheep.

So back to the topic. Now it's cow-time! Mooooooo.. the cows are so much more interesting than the ones back there. Oops, those were bulls.. kerbau.. whatever I don't know how to translate that.

Though, some people may not like cows but .. having seeing the fluffy sheep that looks like a fluff machine for 4 months, I sure would like some change in scenery. Well, the season of spring also brings more bird shit. (Crude language pardon me) Funny though I don't know why birds rarely do their business during winter. Now that it's warmer, the roads seem to be littred with more bird droppings than ever. Windows have it, Roof tiles has it, pavements has it, Heck even cars have it.

Not only that, it's the season where flying bugs and worms come out from sleeping or what ever they do during the winter. I just don't understand, where do they hide for 4-6 months? They give me the creeps really, buzzing around a place although I don't think I see anything that interests them other than a wooden pole or leaves.

Besides that, I'd like to mention something pleasing at least. It's the season where most ladies shed their cool looking thick jackets/coats/sweaters/overcoats etc and bare some skin. ^^ No, I do not mean old ladies, and no that does not mean I look at young girls either. It's just my "observation" from the many months that I've been here. It's brightening really, having seeing so much beauty in the streets and outside the college. Oh no, better stop here.

Well, don't forget that the season of spring/summer for most college students is the season of exams and exams. I have 2 practical exams in 3 weeks time, AS Mathematics exam papers in 4 weeks time, and AS Chemistry and AS Physics papers in 5 weeks time, which we head on to a 1 week break and then internal school exams for a week before I head off back to KL on June 24.

Woooo, what a nice season..

Major updates

I'll be posting some updates to the blog soon, when I have the time, it'll be rather long though..

Sources of Information

I must agree that the Hansard recordings for the House of Representatives Parliamentary Sittings provide a good source of information.

I was looking through the 16 March '06 Hansard recording and found out some pretty cool things. Wait till I have the time to quote it out and interpret it before posting it up here.

Speaking of Hansard, I said I would post an update on my previous post regarding the argument between the Jerai MP and the Ipoh Timur MP(LKS).

Page 34-40 of the Hansard recording.

It starts with the Jerai MP accusing the Ipoh Timor MP of uttering seditious statements by wrongly saying that there aren't Malay Chancellors in local universities, the lack of non-Bumiputeras in the Army and the Police Force, etc and questioning Article 121 of the Federal Constitution.

Tuan Lim Kit Siang [Ipoh Timor]:
Ini ucapan. Saya percaya ini bukan meminda Peraturan Mesyuarat.
Dato’ Paduka Haji Badruddin bin Amiruldin [Jerai]: Undang-undang syariah.
Ini bukan point of order.
Tuan Yang di-Pertua: Yang Berhormat tunggu, duduk sekejap.
Sesiapa berdiri, cakap pun.
Tuan Yang di-Pertua: Yang Berhormat, duduk sekejap.
Tuan Lim Kit Siang [Ipoh Timor]: Salah guna Peraturan Mesyuarat. Ini bukanlah UMNO.
Tuan Yang di-Pertua: Ya Yang Berhormat, habiskan.
Dato’ Paduka Haji Badruddin bin Amiruldin [Jerai]: Apa salah guna? Bila saya buat silap, Yang Berhormat bangkit, hentam saya.
Seorang Ahli: [Menyampuk].
Dato’ Paduka Haji Badruddin bin Amiruldin [Jerai]: Patut diletak di bawah ISA, orang macam ini, Tuan Yang di-Pertua.
Tuan Yang di-Pertua: Saya minta kedua-dua Yang Berhormat,
Dato’ Paduka Haji Badruddin bin Amiruldin [Jerai]: Bukan ucapan, saya hendak mengulaskan ucapan Yang Berhormat kelmarin.
Tuan Yang di-Pertua: Saya minta kedua-dua Yang Berhormat, Yang Berhormat.
Tuan Yang di-Pertua: Yang Berhormat, sila duduk.
Tiada standard! Substandard. [Dewan riuh]. Substandard ini, tidak bagi jalan!
Dato’ Paduka Haji Badruddin bin Amiruldin [Jerai]: What standard do you have?
Tuan Yang di-Pertua: Yang Berhormat, Yang Berhormat, jangan! Jangan!
Tuan Lim Kit Siang [Ipoh Timor]: Tapi orang yang salah Peraturan Mesyuarat, bagaimana kita boleh membenarkan dia berbuat begitu? Atas Peraturan Mesyuarat, atas Peraturan Mesyuarat, sesiapa boleh berdiri. Tarik perhatian mengenai mana langgar Peraturan Mesyuarat.
Puan Chong Eng [Bukit Mertajam]: [Menyampuk tanpa pembesar suara].
Tuan Yang di-Pertua: Teruskan.
Tuan Lim Kit Siang [Ipoh Timor]: Ini orang yang tiada otak!! [Dewan riuh menyampuk].
Dato’ Paduka Haji Badruddin bin Amiruldin [Jerai]: Point of Order.
Tuan Lim Kit Siang [Ipoh Timor]: Mana boleh buat begitu?
Dato’ Paduka Haji Badruddin bin Amiruldin [Jerai]: Cakaplah apa yang hendak dicakapkan lagi. Yang mengatakan saya tiada otak, awat you ada otak kah?
Tuan Lim Kit Siang [Ipoh Timor]: Apa otak? Otak itu ada guna!
Dato’ Paduka Haji Badruddin bin Amiruldin [Jerai]: You betul, betul orang tua yang tidak tahu perasaan orang!!
Tuan Lim Kit Siang [Ipoh Timor]: Ini kali yang pertama satu Peraturan Mesyuarat yang begitu disalahgunakan!
Dato’ Paduka Haji Badruddin bin Amiruldin [Jerai]: Awak cuba melagalagakan bangsa Melayu dalam negara ini.
Tuan Lim Kit Siang [Ipoh Timor]: Ini malu!! Apa standard?
Dato’ Paduka Haji Badruddin bin Amiruldin [Jerai]: Awak cuba melagalagakan rakyat Malaysia! Ini memang kerja awak, awak tahukah?
Tuan Yang di-Pertua: Yang Berhormat, Yang Berhormat.
Tuan Lim Kit Siang [Ipoh Timor]: Orang yang menjadi speaker dalam Dalam Dewan Undangan Negeri Kedah, apa? Malu itu!!
Dato’ Paduka Haji Badruddin bin Amiruldin [Jerai]: Apa? Saya tahu undangundang siapa-siapapun!!
Tuan Yang di-Pertua: Yang Berhormat Ipoh Timor, sila duduk sekejap.
Dato’ Paduka Haji Badruddin bin Amiruldin [Jerai]:
Buatlah, boleh report!
Tuan Yang di-Pertua: Yang Berhormat Jerai, sila duduk.
Dato’ Paduka Haji Badruddin bin Amiruldin [Jerai]: Pergi buat, boleh report.
Tuan Lim Kit Siang [Ipoh Timor]: Ah, malulah!!
Dato’ Paduka Haji Badruddin bin Amiruldin [Jerai]: Yang Berhormat tidak menghormati dan menghasut dalam Dewan.
Tuan Lim Kit Siang [Ipoh Timor]: Tidak tahu, cakap apa itu? Itu yang pertama, yang kedua..
Dato’ Paduka Haji Badruddin bin Amiruldin [Jerai]: Terima kasih Tuan Yang di-Pertua.
Tuan Yang di-Pertua: Yang Berhormat, teruskan ucapan.
Tuan Lim Kit Siang [Ipoh Timor]: Okey kedua, saya menafi sekeras-kerasnya bahawa saya ada buat ucapan yang disifatkan oleh beliau, mana? Ya, ini kita tahulah, jangan menjadi satu taman binatang. [Dewan riuh menyampuk]. Jangan kita bagi menjadi..
Dato’ Raja Ahmad Zainuddin bin Raja Haji Omar [Larut]: Ha, itu kepala taman binatang!
Tuan Lim Kit Siang [Ipoh Timor]: Kalau mahu buat begitu, itu hak.
Dato’ Raja Ahmad Zainuddin bin Raja Haji Omar [Larut]: Itu kepala dia!
Puan Chong Eng [Bukit Mertajam]: Peraturan Mesyuarat. Peraturan Mesyuarat.
Tuan Yang di-Pertua: Tak apa Yang Berhormat, sila teruskan. Ipoh Timor teruskan. Teruskan, teruskan Yang Berhormat. [Dewan riuh] Teruskan, tidak payah, tidak payah.
Tuan Lim Kit Siang [Ipoh Timor]: Ya.
Puan Chong Eng [Bukit Mertajam]: Tidak boleh.
Dato’ Paduka Haji Badruddin bin Amiruldin [Jerai]: Kepala geleng, warga binatang, apa hendak lagi?
Tuan M. Kula Segaran [Ipoh Barat]: Why itu orang mesti didengar? That is why we have point the order.
Baik, duduk.
Dato' Suhaili bin Abdul Rahman [Labuan]: Suruh dia keluarlah Tuan Yang di-Pertua.
Tuan Yang di-Pertua: Sila duduk Yang Berhormat.

The Ipoh Timor MP then goes on to explain what he said and deny allegations.
It's clear that after reading the Hansard recordings, a clearer picture can be seen about the whole thing and that who is correct and who is wrong. Let's all hope that these people can open up their minds more and act more professional.

Reminiscence

Source : The Star Online

It's just frustrating, that all these cases have surfaced. Is this the new state of humanity that people are living in?

I've got a strong hunch that all these are all hired killers out to kill. Just got to be careful nowadays when talking to people. Who knows you might make an enemy who might just hate you enough to hire a killer to take you out.

Anyway, there's this interesting case that I feel that many people have already forgotten about.

Among the unsolved murders are that of:

  • Sabah assistant minister Datuk Norjan Khan Bahadar
  • Fishmonger Anthony Chong Kim Fook
  • IBM executive Patricia Wong Bao Bao
  • Boutique owner May Goh Lee Fang
  • Marketing executive Chee Gaik Yap
  • Guest relations officer Noritta Samsudin
  • 14-year-old Chinese national student Xu Jian Huang
  • Chinese national student Li Mingqian
  • Chemist Wong Soke Ching
  • Managing director Jackie Ooi Po Ing

  • As recalled, a chinese national student was found drowned with his hands and legs bound, in a swimming pool in the then (Datuk) Koh Kim Teck's residence. After much trials, Koh and his two bodyguards were acquitted of the murder charge because of unresolved and unanswered doubts.

This has brought .. outrage amongst many Malaysians, me included and I feel that some dirty has been done and the killer has gotten away with murder.

If there is anyone to blame, then it must be the police and the prosecution.

As the judge noted, the prosecution hurt its own case by failing to call a certain Insp Moin.

That was not all, Koh’s driver Mohd Razbean Md Tab, a key witness, has gone missing. That does not speak well of the police at all.

Another key witness, Fang Sui Jing, said to be a girlfriend of Koh, has been deported to China and even the date of her deportation is unknown. The Chinese national, who was serving a 10-month sentence in Kajang prison for overstaying, was a key witness and yet no attempt was made to keep her until the case was over.

Investigating officer Asst Supt Nor Omar Sapi admitted that he did not make any formal request to the Kajang prison for Fang to be handed over to the police.

Malaysians are left grappling with questions like how a murdered boy could end up in the swimming pool of a heavily guarded bungalow with 23 injury marks.

Can you believe it? Well, I don't. Because of all things to happen, this happened, witnesses going missing and stuff, it's clearly an act of suspiciousness.

As quoted from the DAP(Democratic Action Party)'s homepage regarding this issue,
What is unusual is the speed and efficiency of her deportation after her prison term was over as many such prisoners languish in immigration holding centres for at least 6 more months before being able to return home. Why can this key witness to a murder trial return home so quickly but not the hundreds of Chinese nationals detained in immigration depots?

After all, the poor boy died in his house, and there was a picture of the boy in one of the accused's mobile phone and this clearly calls for Negligence Cause of Action.

Let's all hope that more justice can be served and taxpayers' money can be well spent in the future.
